If the FBI is unable to adopt a classifiable provision because of unreadable fingerprints, the FBI considers the complaints to be "unclassifiable." A reprinting project may be filed within one year of the expiry of the appeal period, in order to obtain a classifiable provision at no additional cost. The initial case number of the non-classifiable fingerprint must be equipped with a reprint model to avoid putting an additional fee on the disk or for fingerprint processing.
