If you are willing to put some money in, there are harassment unions across the country that often have vacancies. The advantage of a union is that it often has access to larger and more varied lands, and of course it will be made up of people who share an interest and who will hopefully be willing to help each other. However, before you take your checkbook, ask yourself a few questions to make sure everything is overboard. Unfortunately, reports of disappointed union members on unproductive soil are not scandalous. BASC has established a model for the approval of members who perform pest control. This form can be used where there is no money that changes ownership and where it is harmful birds and mammals. It is suitable for deer control as well as for the control of rabbits and pigeons. For a small or informal shoot, this may seem a bit exaggerated - but a written agreement protects them and your owner. If you`re lucky, you can find something more reasonable and in some cases you don`t need to spend money on your soil. Be prepared to put some leg work and use your local knowledge.

Spread the word you`re looking for from the field: gamekeepers, gun stores and game dealers are good starting points, and many opportunities have arose from a casual conversation in the racket cart during a day of filming. Very often, an offer of assistance for plant protection and vermin control can extend to an invitation to help the Doe Cull and, finally, to wider access to harassment. If you`re really lucky, the possibilities for harassment authorization can come up overnight. Many years ago, I received a phone call asking if I could reduce the deer at a local farm.
There was no question of money changing ownership: all the farmer asked for was a part of "One for you, one for me" in deer shooting. In exchange, I was able to give free rein to all management decisions, provided that the country did not get shot too hard and that I also stood on the foxes.
